This regional conference, held July8-10, 2009, in Overland Park brought attendees from Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Virginia and Wyoming. The total attendance was 390 people with an economic impact of $133,981 to the Overland Park community. Highlights of this conference include: large equipment on display throughout the Convention Center's exhibit hall; social events and spousal tours arranged by the Overland Park CVB; securing ground transportation for attendees from the airport to hotels; and assistance with creation of promotional materials.

This national convention, held March July 6-10, 2005, at the Overland Park Convention Center, had a total attendance of 1,300 people with an economic impact of $1,197,000 to the community. Highlights from this event include: segmentation of the Center to accommodate several seperate meeting areas based on attendee type; elaborate staging for evening gatherings; and use of Center's outdoor courtyard for youth activities.

This state convention, held October 2-5, 2004, at the Overland Park Convention Center, had a total attendance of 1,200 people with an economic impact of $1,290,000 to the community. This event was a showcase of Johnson County to state-wide elected officials focusing on policy and economic development issues. As a result of the success of the 2004 event, Overland Park is the only community to be put on a triennial rotation for hosting the event.
