Event Tips
Crowds normally start rolling in around 6 p.m. so plan to arrive early.
Reminder: Picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers are welcome but pop-up tents are not allowed.
To get the best viewing spot you might have to trek through the grass, so bring a wagon or something with wheels to help you carry everything.
July in Overland Park can be scorching.
Make sure to dress in cool clothing, wear sunscreen before the sun goes down (don't forget the bug spray too!), and stay hydrated.
You have a long, fun night ahead! Pack water, juice, and plenty of ice. Alcohol is not allowed.
After the fireworks show, you may want to wait about 20 minutes before leaving. Traffic can happen, so please have patience.
