Free Weekend at the Arboretum
This nature-made jewel is thriving year-round! The trails, International Sculpture Garden and Luminary Walk are popular in the cooler months, while the beautifully-themed gardens are enjoyed in the summer. Meet the Largest Dinosaurs
The Museum at Prairiefire hosts rotating exhibitions from the American Museum of Natural History in a stunning venue – the only building to feature Dichroic Glass developed by NASA. Running through September 4 is the World’s Largest Dinosaur Exhibition. Dig for fossils, examine a 6-foot long femur, gaze at the life-size model of a mamenchisaurus and more!

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is an institution for locals and international art-seekers, alike. The new Bloch Galleries are opening to the public Spring 2017! Twenty nine masterworks of leading Impressionists and Post-Impressionist artists provide a captivating experience.
Blues, BBQ and Baseball
Kansas City’s Jazz District has a rich history of blues, BBQ and baseball! Inside the American Jazz Museum is The Blue Room – a cozy club featuring live jazz music. The rest of the museum includes listening and interactive stations honoring jazz masters. Next door is the Negro League Baseball Museum, enjoy a self-guided tour with artifacts, photographs and multi-media embracing the story of Negro Leagues Baseball.
Countdown to Royals
The beloved boys in blue are ready to begin another road to the Championship! Beginning April 3rd, Kauffman Stadium (The K) will be overwhelming with die-hard fans. Come experience one of the crown jewel ballparks of the MLB! Get to the game early for Early Bird Batting Practice. The Royals Hall of Fame showcases exhibits where you can learn about the team since its inception. To enjoy the game like a local, tailgating is a must!
